Problem
The Notes ID file in use on the SpamSentinel Checking Machine must be replaced with a different ID file.
Background Information
This procedure is for use when SpamSentinel is installed in a Checking Machine configuration. This installation type requires usage of a Notes Client type of .id file. On rare occasions, the .id file in use when SpamSentinel was originally installed will need to be replaced with a new .id file. Since there is no automated process for this, such an update must be performed manually using the following steps.
Solution
1. Stop the SpamSentinel Monitor, Manager, Reporter and Scanner services.
2. From the Notes client on the Checking Machine, launch the 'SpamSentinel.xml Creator' utility from the 'Launch Utility' at the bottom of the Notes/Domino sub-tab of the Advanced tab in the Server Configuration document. NOTE, this may pop 'under' the window you are looking at, yo may have to manually bring the utility window into focus.
3. Update the fields: User Name, User ID File, Password then click the Save button then 'ok' then the 'exit' button.
4. Change the 'Checking Machine User Name' field on the same tab of the Server Configuration document.
5. Save the Server Configuration document
6. Ensure the new Notes ID for use by the Checking Machine has appropriate ACL access to:
a. the SpamSentinel databases on the server.
b. the the Mail.box databases on the target server.
7. Switch ID's in the Notes Client to use the new Checking Machine ID.
8. Start the SpamSentinel checking machine services.
