How to uninstall a Standard installation of SpamSentinel for Domino

Before you Begin

You will need to identify whether you are using a Standard or a Checking Machine installation of SpamSentinel.

Removing SpamSentinel from a Standard Installation

SpamSentinel can be easily removed using the SpamSentinel Installer which is a Notes database that will be used from a Notes client.  The Notes client does not need to be running on the same server that Domino is installed to.

1.  Download the latest installer from https://www.maysoft.com/ss

2.  Open the installer in a Notes client

3.  Find and click the orange-colored 'Remove SpamSentinel' button on the opening screen of the installer.

4.  Follow the instructions in the installer to complete removal of the SpamSentinel product.

5.  Please note that the installer does not delete any Notes databases associated with the product as these are considered critical data which may be needed to allow a re-install elsewhere or need to be kept for future reference.  To completely remove these SpamSentinel databases safely, use a Notes client or a Domino Administration client to delete all the Notes databases found on the Domino server in the Data folders \SpamSentinel and \MBE.
