Verisend Displays Email Authentication Status in Both Microsoft 365 and HCL Domino Environments
In Microsoft 365, incoming messages are evaluated using Exchange Online Protection (EOP) for email authentication, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC compliance. When messages reach the Domino environment, SpamSentinel performs additional SPF verification, and the results are embedded in the message headers.
The Verisend interface provides visual authentication indicators in both environments:
For Microsoft 365:
- Authentication results appear directly in Outlook's user interface
- A green security status indicator displays for authenticated messages
- Users can view detailed authentication information in the message properties
For HCL Domino:
- Authentication results are shown in the Notes client via a display panel
- Verified messages are highlighted with a green indicator
- Users can access detailed SPF validation results through the Verisend panel
This dual-environment support ensures consistent email security visibility whether users are accessing their mail through Microsoft 365 or HCL Notes versions 9 through 12.
When the user opens a good message, Verisend shows a Display Panel in the Notes client and displays for the user a green panel:
When we are unable to determine if the sender is who they claim to be, so we show a Yellow Warning triangle and mark the message "Unverified":
Phishing messages are clearly labeled like this:
